Our story starts with our founder, Ali, whose journey from the bustling streets of San Francisco to the wide-open beauty of New Mexico shaped the heart and soul of Watusi Boutique.
Ali’s love for fashion began in San Francisco while attending fashion school, where she immersed herself in the vibrant world of design, style, and creativity. Eventually, life (and a little bit of fate) brought her back to New Mexico where her dream boutique would soon take shape.
The name “Watusi” was inspired by her father-in-law’s legacy of raising Watusi cattle. Ali loved how it sounded like “What You See,” perfectly capturing her belief in authenticity, honesty, and style that’s true to you.
From that spark, Watusi Boutique was born and our philosophy is simply What You See Is What You Get.
